Professional Diploma in Equine Facilitated Learning & Development
These are the terms and conditions of EQUI-SCOTIA CIC, a company registered in Scotland (company number SC653658), whose registered address is c/o Taxassist Accountants, 36-40 Cowane Street, Stirling FK8 1JR (“we” or “us”).
These are the terms on which we will provide our Certificate in Equine Facilitated Learning and/or Professional Diploma in Equine Facilitated Learning & Development course (“Course”) to you. By making an application to become a candidate either of theses Courses, you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, please don't make an application to study on the Course.
Application
Only if you complete a Candidate Application Form on our website having completed the Equi-Scotia Online Introduction to Equine Facilitated Learning will an application be considered. Two satisfactory references are required, and candidates must make full disclosure of any conditions relevant to their ability to be able to provide services that are physically and psychologically safe for members of the public. We will also require you to attend an Introduction to Equine Facilitated Learning (EFL) course, where we will monitor your participation and whether we believe the Course is a good fit for you. Our decision whether or not to accept your application to study on the Course is in our absolute discretion. Once a place is offered a deposit payment is requested in order to secure the place.
Registration
Upon satisfactory completion of the first practical workshops and payment of fees Equi-Scotia CIC will register candidates on the Professional Diploma in Equine Facilitated Learning & Development.

The cost of the Courses are as stated on our website. Payment of a non-refundable deposit is required in advance to secure your place. An early bird discount is available for candidates paying in advance and options for monthly instalments may be requested. Please refer to our Diploma Refunds Policy for information on refunds, which can be found here.
Behaviour
We request that at all times your behaviour towards other participants of the Course is polite, kind and respectful. We won’t be held responsible for the behaviour or actions of any other participants. Should your behaviour be deemed offensive or inappropriate, we reserve the right to remove you from the Course with immediate effect and you won’t be entitled to a refund.
We’re not responsible for the views or opinions shared by others. We ask that all participants of the Course respect the rights of others in respect of their behaviour, privacy and confidentiality.
Intellectual property rights
We are the owner or licensee of all intellectual property rights in our website, material posted onto it, and all materials we make available to you having paid for the Course, including but not limited to documents, presentations, course materials, workbooks and videos (the “Content”). The Content is protected by copyright.

Disclaimer
We don’t warrant or guarantee any particular outcomes or results from participating in the Course. We’re not responsible for any decisions, actions or omissions you may choose to take, or not take, as a result of your participation in our Course. You are ultimately responsible for your own decisions.
Confidentiality
Any information shared by you to us during the Course will be treated as confidential. We agree that we won’t disclose, reveal, or make use of any confidential Information discussed by you during the Course and we respectfully ask that you do the same for both us and other participants of the Course.
Confidential information includes but is not limited to, information disclosed in connection with these terms and conditions and shall not include information rightfully obtained from a third party. Both parties will keep confidential information in strictest confidence and shall use their best efforts to safeguard the confidential information and to protect it against disclosure, misuse, espionage, loss and theft.

Applicable law
These terms and conditions and any non-contractual obligations arising hereunder, are governed by, and interpreted according to the law of Scotland and all disputes arising under these terms and conditions (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
